गम्भीरता के साथ शिशु सरलता को मिलाओ। सबके साथ मेल से रहो। अहंकार के सब भाव छोड दो और साम्प्रदायिक विचारों को मन में न लाओ। व्यर्थ विवाद महापाप है।

• No one should be discouraged in his plans. Completely abandon the tendency to criticize. As long as they are forwarding on the right path; Till then help in their work; And whenever you see any mistake in their work, humbly make them aware of the mistake. किसी को उसकी योजनाओं में हतोत्साह नहीं करना चाहिए। आलोचना की प्रवृत्ति का पूर्णतः परित्याग कर दो। जब तक वे सही मार्ग पर अग्रेसर हो रहे हैं; तब तक उन्के कार्य में सहायता करो; और जब कभी तुमको उनके कार्य में कोई ग़लती नज़र आये, तो नम्रतापूर्वक ग़लती के प्रति उनको सजग कर दो। एक दूसरे की आलोचना ही सब दोषों की जड है। किसी भी संगठन को विनष्ट करने में इसका बहुत बडा हाथ है।

na taalo, na dhoondhon -- bhagavaan apanee ichchhaanusaar jo kuchh bhehe, usake lie pratiksha karate raho, yahee mera moolamantr hai.

न टालो, न ढूँढों -- भगवान अपनी इच्छानुसार जो कुछ भेहे, उसके लिए प्रतिक्षा करते रहो, यही मेरा मूलमंत्र है।

• Stick with strength and confidence. Be honest, pure and clean, and do not fight among yourselves. Jealousy is the disease of our race.

शक्ति और विशवास के साथ लगे रहो। सत्यनिष्ठा, पवित्र और निर्मल रहो, तथा आपस में न लडो। हमारी जाति का रोग ईर्ष्या ही है।

• Let us work devoid of the desire to rule over Naam, Yash and others. Work, anger and greed - we get rid of this triple bondage and then the truth will be with us.

aao ham naam, yash aur doosaron par shaasan karane kee ichchha se rahit hokar kaam karen. kaam, krodh env lobh -- is trividh bandhan se ham mukt ho jaayen aur phir saty hamaare saath rahega.

आओ हम नाम, यश और दूसरों पर शासन करने की इच्छा से रहित होकर काम करें। काम, क्रोध एंव लोभ -- इस त्रिविध बन्धन से हम मुक्त हो जायें और फिर सत्य हमारे साथ रहेगा।

• Only one man should follow me, but he has to be true and faithful after death. I do not worry about success and failure. I will keep my movement holy, even if no one is with me. My patience runs out when faced with insidious tasks. This is the world that those whom you love and help the most, they will cheat you.

ek hee aadamee mera anusaran kare, kintu use mrtyuparyant saty aur vishvaasee hona hoga. main saphalata aur asaphalata kee chinta nahin karata. main apane aandolan ko pavitr rakhoonga, bhale hee mere saath koee na ho. kapatee kaaryon se saamana padane par mera dhairy samaapt ho jaata hai. yahee sansaar hai ki jinhen tum sabase adhik pyaar aur sahaayata karo, ve hee tumhe dhokha denge.

एक ही आदमी मेरा अनुसरण करे, किन्तु उसे मृत्युपर्यन्त सत्य और विश्वासी होना होगा। मैं सफलता और असफलता की चिन्ता नहीं करता। मैं अपने आन्दोलन को पवित्र रखूँगा, भले ही मेरे साथ कोई न हो। कपटी कार्यों से सामना पडने पर मेरा धैर्य समाप्त हो जाता है। यही संसार है कि जिन्हें तुम सबसे अधिक प्यार और सहायता करो, वे ही तुम्हे धोखा देंगे।

• Whenever I find a person fully engulfed in the midst of a sermon (the voice of Shri Ramakrishna), which is going to rain peace in the world in the future, my heart starts jumping with joy. At such times I do not go mad, this is surprising.

jab kabhee main kisee vyakti ko us upadeshavaanee (shree raamakrshn ke vaanee) ke beech poorn roop se nimagn paata hoon, jo bhavishy mein sansaar mein shaanti kee varsha karane vaalee hai, to mera hrday aanand se uchhalane lagata hai. aise samay main paagal nahin ho jaata hoon, yahee aashchary kee baat hai.

जब कभी मैं किसी व्यक्ति को उस उपदेशवाणी (श्री रामकृष्ण के वाणी) के बीच पूर्ण रूप से निमग्न पाता हूँ, जो भविष्य में संसार में शान्ति की वर्षा करने वाली है, तो मेरा हृदय आनन्द से उछलने लगता है। ऐसे समय मैं पागल नहीं हो जाता हूँ, यही आश्चर्य की बात है।

• My ideal can definitely be said in a few words - to teach mankind his divine nature, and to show him the way to express it in every sphere of life.

mera aadarsh avashy hee thode se shabdon mein kaha ja sakata hai - manushy jaati ko usake divy svaroop ka upadesh dena, tatha jeevan ke pratyek kshetr mein use abhivyakt karane ka upaay bataana.

मेरा आदर्श अवश्य ही थोडे से शब्दों में कहा जा सकता है - मनुष्य जाति को उसके दिव्य स्वरूप का उपदेश देना, तथा जीवन के प्रत्येक क्षेत्र में उसे अभिव्यक्त करने का उपाय बताना।

basant kee tarah log ka hit karate hue - yahi mera dharm hai. "mujhe mukti aur bhakti kee chaah nahin. laakhon narakon mein jaana mujhe sveekaar hai, - yahee mera dharm hai."

'बसन्त की तरह लोग का हित करते हुए' - यहि मेरा धर्म है। "मुझे मुक्ति और भक्ति की चाह नहीं। लाखों नरकों में जाना मुझे स्वीकार है, - यही मेरा धर्म है।"

• If a bhangi comes to us in the form of bhangi, then we run away from its touch like a prickly disease. But when a pastor pours a bowl of water on his head, a priest gives something warm as a prayer and when he gets a coat to wear - no matter how old and torn it is - even if he is a hardcore Hindu Reach inside the room, there is no restriction for him, there is no one who does not give him a chair to sit with his hands full! What could be more ironic about this? Come, see what the clergy in South India are doing. These people are making millions of people of low caste Christians. ... about a quarter of the population has become Christian! Why should I blame those ill-informed? Lord, when will one man learn to treat brotherhood with another.

yadi koee bhangee hamaare paas bhangee ke roop mein aata hai, to chhutahee bimaaree kee tarah ham usake sparsh se door bhaagate hain. parantu jab usake seer par ek katora paanee daalakar koee paadaree praarthana ke roop mein kuchh gunaguna deta hai aur jab use pahanane ko ek kot mil jaata hai-- vah kitana hee phata-puraana kyon na ho-- tab chaahe vah kisee kattar se kattar hindoo ke kamare ke bheetar pahunch jaay, usake lie kaheen rok-tok nahin, aisa koee nahin, jo usase saprem haath milaakar baithane ke lie use kursee na de! isase adhik vidmbana kee baat kya ho sakata hai? aaie, dekhie to sahee, dakshin bhaarat mein paadaree log kya gazab kar rahen hain. ye log neech jaati ke logon ko laakhon kee sankhya me eesaee bana rahe hain. ...vahaan lagabhag chauthaee janasankhya eesaee ho gayee hai! main un bechaaron ko kyon dosh doon? hen bhagavaan, kab ek manushy doosare se bhaeechaare ka bartaav karana seekhega.

 यदि कोई भंगी हमारे पास भंगी के रूप में आता है, तो छुतही बिमारी की तरह हम उसके स्पर्श से दूर भागते हैं। परन्तु जब उसके सीर पर एक कटोरा पानी डालकर कोई पादरी प्रार्थना के रूप में कुछ गुनगुना देता है और जब उसे पहनने को एक कोट मिल जाता है-- वह कितना ही फटा-पुराना क्यों न हो-- तब चाहे वह किसी कट्टर से कट्टर हिन्दू के कमरे के भीतर पहुँच जाय, उसके लिए कहीं रोक-टोक नहीं, ऐसा कोई नहीं, जो उससे सप्रेम हाथ मिलाकर बैठने के लिए उसे कुर्सी न दे! इससे अधिक विड्म्बना की बात क्या हो सकता है? आइए, देखिए तो सही, दक्षिण भारत में पादरी लोग क्या गज़ब कर रहें हैं। ये लोग नीच जाति के लोगों को लाखों की संख्या मे ईसाई बना रहे हैं। ...वहाँ लगभग चौथाई जनसंख्या ईसाई हो गयी है! मैं उन बेचारों को क्यों दोष दूँ? हें भगवान, कब एक मनुष्य दूसरे से भाईचारे का बर्ताव करना सीखेगा।
